The Flow Cytometry Core provides cytometry services to investigators at the John G. Rangos Sr. Research Center, as well as researchers across University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, and other Pittsburgh academic institutions. As a certified BSL2+ facility, services include staff-assisted cell sorting and analysis, FlowJo and instrument training, and protocol consultation and troubleshooting. The Flow Cytometry Core has three cytometers (BD Fortessa X20, BD LSR II, Cytek Aurora), one Cytek Auora cell sorter (bio-contained) and a data analysis computer containing FlowJo and SpectroFlo available. All first-time users are required to schedule a consultation.
