The NMR Facility, located on the 4th floor of the Chevron Science Center, features several high-field NMR instruments dedicated to research and teaching. While primarily serving the Chemistry Department, the facility is open to all University of Pittsburgh researchers. The facility contains seven Bruker Avance III NMR spectrometers ranging from 300 MHz to 700 MHz, including three automated systems (300, 400, and 500 MHz). The instruments are capable of multinuclear 1D and 2D NMR experiments such as COSY, NOESY, TOCSY, HSQC and HMBC. Access to the facility requires a mandatory training session by facility staff before instrument use, regardless of prior experience. NMR samples can be run by staff on a limited basis for those who have samples to run infrequently.
