The mission of the Small Molecule Biomarker Core (SMBC) is to facilitate researchers’ efforts to improve health via the quantitative analysis of small molecules.
The SMBC provides accurate and sensitive quantitative analysis in biological samples using state-of-the-art ultra performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). It offers comprehensive assay development and validation according to FDA bioanalytical guidelines and sample analysis (with or without sample processing). Analytical methods include numerous small molecule drug and metabolite panels such as antiretrovirals (eg, lenacapavir), endocrine markers (eg, estrogens), metformin, sildenafil, trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO), and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). A full list of methods with sample type can be found here.
