ALERT Welcome to Pitt’s iLab system, established on 10 August 2024. Pitt’s iLab is integrated into our single sign on system and our billing backends, tying faculty and staff grants to reserved time and services.
As of August 2025, we have 16 shared research facilities online!
Looking ahead, by the end of fall 2025 we will have 30+ shared research facilities in our system, and we will offer training classes for faculty, staff and students at Pitt.
This summer we will update the department of all Pitt employees using a standardized naming convention - please do not modify that field. We are using it to build templates enabling automated reporting.

The SMBC provides accurate and sensitive quantitative analysis in biological samples, with or without sample processing, using state-of-the-art ultra performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS).
