The Peptide and Peptoid Synthesis Core (PPSC) provides comprehensive services for peptide and peptoid synthesis, purification, and characterization to researchers across disciplines such as surgery, bioengineering, chemistry, immunology and more. Custom peptides and peptoids are critical to many applications such as antigen discovery and vaccine development, in situ or in vivo imaging and localization, enzyme activity assays, targeted therapeutics, and drug discovery and development. Highly experienced protein biochemists offer consultation on peptide design, yield, and purity requirements and deliver routinely synthesized or highly complex constructs using state‑of‑the‑art solid‑phase peptide synthesis and an ultra‑efficient Liberty Blue microwave synthesizer. Services include peptide and peptoid libraries; long and hydrophobic sequences; cyclic and disulfide‑bonded peptides; lipidated, glycosylated, fluorescent, isotopically labeled, and conjugated peptides (including miRNA, siRNA, and chelators); as well as user‑defined custom modifications. Located within the Center for Biotechnology and Bioengineering, the facility operates under rigorous quality assurance and clean‑room conditions, employs validated HPLC and mass spectrometry for purification and characterization, and provides peptides with Certificates of Analysis, offering yields and purities that meet or exceed those of most commercial manufacturers, including support for clinical‑grade and IND‑enabling research.
