Unified Flow Core

Overview of Services

The Unified Flow Core provides state-of-the-art flow cytometry and cell sorting services to the entire University of Pittsburgh research community as well as researchers at neighboring institutions. A skilled staff provides help with instrument setup, data analysis, and consultation for experiment design. Training is available to enable investigators and their staff to run the analytical cytometers themselves.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about flow cytometry, if you want to know if you can use it in your research, how to design experiments, prepare samples, or how to analyze your data.

The Unified Flow Core has 3 FACSAria cell sorters (2 bio-contained), 1 Cytek Aurora Cell Sorter, 3 LSR Fortessas (1 bio-contained), 2 LSR IIs,  1 ImageStreamx Mark II, 1 Thermo-Fisher Attune NxT, and 4 full spectral cytometers - Cytek Aurora.

The Core is staffed Monday through Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm.  The Core is available 24/7 to trained users.
