Common Instruments

Overview of Equipment and Services

Hillman Cancer Center (HCC) Common Equipment is made available to HCC researchers on a sign-out basis. Each laboratory provides its own consumables. Sign-out is required to use any of the HCC common equipment. Usage rates of common equipment are a factor in purchasing decisions of common equipment.

The types of equipment available at the HCC Research Pavillion:

Superspeed Centrifuges and Ultracentrifuges
Odyssey CLx Infrared Imaging System
Precision CellRad+ Xray Irradiator (training required)
Tri-Carb Liquid Scintillation Counter
Tecan Spark Microplate Reader
Bio-Rad ddPCR system
Sonifers

The equipment available at The Assembly Building:

Nikon Confocal and Upright Microscopes
Amersham Typhoon 5 Imaging System
Precision X-ray CellRad+ and SmART+ Irradiators (training required)
