The Rustbelt Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), a partnership between Case Western Reserve University and the University of Pittsburgh, provides administrative and shared research support to enhance and coordinate high quality AIDS research through its core facilities. CFAR Core F: Systems Biology and Biostatistics supports HIV research by providing comprehensive multi-omics, functional immunology, bioinformatics, and biostatistics services. Services offered include advanced RNA and antibody sequencing (10X, Nanostring, BD Rhapsody), Visium spatial sequencing, soluble biomarker profiling (MSD) and flow cytometry and cell sorting capabilities with expert consultation and training. Additional services include a range of cellular immunology assays such as ELISpot, cytotoxicity, ADCC, cytokine/chemokine induction, and viral suppression. Bioinformatics reporting services range from basic data processing to advanced pathway and network analysis, along with biostatistics support for study design, hypothesis testing, and study monitoring.
